Nineteen Al Qaeda terrorists hijacked four planes in coordinated attacks, two planes flew into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York, one plane crashed into the Pentagon, Washington D.C., a fourth plane crashed without reaching its intended target as hero passengers and crew fought back after hearing the news of the events elsewhere that morning.

Nearly 3,000 people died on that day, the largest loss of life in America due to terrorist action. May they all rest in peace.

    1. I like the wind chimes too, I always find them peaceful. I was left ambivalent about the tower (the terrorists took out 2 towers elsewhere, so they build another?). I get the 93-foot height, but they could have had many different representations. My first thought here was doves but then they represent peace and the passengers and crew were fighting for their, and others unknown, lives. Is the tower a symbol of strength and bravery? I suppose like all these things, they are never going to please everyone.
